How to quickly repeat or duplicate elements in Figma

How to quickly duplicate and repeat items in Figma

Click on hold while selecting an element or component.

Then press and hold the option key and drag your mouse away from item you selected.

A duplicate element/component should appear.

After that you can simply press Command + D to create as many copies of that element as you'd like.
